The Worcestershire Innovation Awards are growing for TechFest 2027.
Following the success of the inaugural Worcestershire Innovation Champion Award at TechFest 2026, we’re going bigger for 2027.
This year, the awards are expanding from one award to three, reflecting the ambitions and priorities of Worcestershire’s Innovation Strategy and recognising the different ways innovation is being driven across the county.
From those championing new ideas to the people developing our future talent and the businesses turning innovation into growth, TechFest 2027 will shine a spotlight on the very best of Worcestershire’s innovation ecosystem.

Award Categories
Innovation
Champion Award
The returning flagship award category from last year, celebrating the people, businesses and organisations championing innovation across Worcestershire – from pioneering new ideas, products and services to creating positive change and inspiring others to think differently.
Selection Process

Nominations open to the public through our website.

A panel of judges will review all submissions and select a shortlist of the top 5 finalists.

The public will then vote for their favourite finalist.

Judges will consider both the strength of nominations and the results of the public vote when selecting the winners.

The judging panel’s decision on the winner is final and binding. There is no right of appeal.
